Our work in edmodo
We have created a group using Edmodo for all of us. It's an "educational facebook," you
can make posts, set up survey polls, submit assignments or notes (www.edmodo.com). We would love to get that dialogue and communication between the students started. Each student has created an edmodo account (www.edmodo.com) and entered in the group code.
Our students have posted some messages about their interests in edmodo and we put two survey polls (about music & sports) in order for them to respond to.

Schooling and Education
In Greece, all children from 6 to 15 years old must attend school. The Greek education system includes primary (dimotiko) and lower secondary (gymnasio) education.
Pre-school is not compulsory. Children from two-and-a-half years of age can be enrolled in either public or private crèches (vrefonipiakoi paidikoi stathmi); some have nursery classes (nipiaka tmimata) as well as kindergartens (nipiagogeia). Public schooling (including books) is free of charge.

About life of teenagers in Greece
Teenagers in Greece spend much of their time with their group of
friends. This group can often include both boys and girls while still
being purely platonic. They usually go to coffee shops or spend their
free time at shopping centres. A group of friends is often referred to
as Parea (Παρεα), literally meaning "company". Large towns in Greece have a variety of sports clubs and facilities
for teenagers, and many international schools have their own sports
teams.
Youth Organisations
The overseeing body for the implementation of youth policy in the country is the General Secretariat for Youth. Their role covers employment, culture, education, leisure and social issues.

Recent years have seen the development of Youth Information Centres around the country. In these centres, young people can find information about volunteering, exchange programmes, education, training, art and culture, social issues and other youth-related issues.
